Recess is an invaluable part of the school day. I love that, as you point out, “there were NO negative impacts of recess.” I find it awfully sad to hear about schools that have reduced or eliminated recess. We know the positive affects of having a mental and physical break in the day, but recess is still some how being squeezed out of the school day.

I often played his music for my personal children, now young adults. In my teaching career I learned that my kindergarteners were not familiar with Raffi. So I, along with my then 20 year old, hunted for copies of Raffi songs. Our success has led to much joy, fun and learning through song, gentleness and love. It is a huge request in my classroom!! I am so pleased to share the Raffi in Concert DVDs.
